Staff Authority

Attendees are expected to follow the instructions of the Fubuki Con staff, its volunteers, and Daemen College security. All Fubuki-Con staff has final say on any rules.

 

Disruptive Behavior

The Fubuki Con staff and security will deal with any disruptive behavior. Punishments may be anything from warnings to ejection from the convention. If your behavior threatens the safety of another person you will be asked to leave the con immediately and criminal charges may be filed.

Disruptive behaviors may include but not are not limited to:'

  • Sexual harassment 

  • Harassment in general

  • Vandalism of school and personal property

  • Violent/aggressive action or Threats to harm oneself or others

  • Intoxication 

  • Excessive use of profanity

Alcohol and Smoking

No restricted substances, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes and alcohol, are allowed at Fubuki Con for the entirety of the convention. Daemen Security will be notified for all infractions.

 

Age Restrictions

All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Fubuki Con staff and volunteers cannot help locate any lost children, but can direct adults to Daemen Security. Some panels and events may have age restrictions (over the age of 18 at the time of the convention). To gain entry to these panels and events, please have valid photo identification and present it at entry to specified panels and events.

Badges

To gain entry into any event or room at Fubuki Con, attendees are required to have their badges worn and easily visible. A Fubuki Con volunteer or staff will be checking badges at the entrance to every room. If you lose your badge you must purchase a new one.

 

Refunds

There will be no refunds under any circumstance.

Autographs

  • You may bring two items for signatures for the special guest.

  • Fubuki Con staff must approve your items.

  • Photographs are generally accepted. Only one photo per trip through the line per guest is allowed.

  • Fubuki-Con Staff reserves the right to deny photos at any time in order to move the line along.

  • Once you have taken your turn with the special guest please move on so that other attendees can have their turn

 

 

Fubuki Con Staff reserves the right to make changes to the rules at any time in order to adjust to current situations.

 

Artist Alley Access

Access to artist alley requires a badge from Registration. Non-daemen attendees must pay the full price for badges. Artist alley is not open to the public, only for those who paid. There is no sign in for Artist alley or Vendors room.
 

Costume Rules

Fubuki Con is a family friendly convention. All costumes must fall in a PG/PG13 rating. Fubuki Con Staff members have the right to any and all final decisions on whether or not a costume is appropriate.

  • Your costume must be checked first at registration.

  • You may be stopped after picking your badge at the Con Registration Table.

  • Any form of nudity or partial nudity is prohibited; no costume is no costume! Examples of things that are ok as long as you are fully covered: sports bras, spanks, leggings.

  • You must wear footwear.

  • No exposed hard materials, including, but not limited to, metal and wood. Hard materials may only be used as a structural base for your costume.

  • No sharp edges or points.

  • No free- floating chains or trains, they must not be able to flail around. If your costume has a train please carry it when you walk.

  • Your costume must be able to fit through a door of standard height and width.

  • No part of your costume should obstruct the path of another attendee.

  • If your view is obstructed, please have a guide to direct you. Full face masks must be easily removable.

  • If you and your costume require more than one seat in any event or panel room or obstructs the view of any other attendee, Fubuki Con staff may designate seating for you that causes the least disruption.

Attendee Courtesy

There is no reserved or saved seating in any room at the convention. If your costume is larger and may block the view for other attendees, please position yourself towards the sides or back of the room. If an event fills and entire room a Fubuki Con staff or volunteer may direct you to a seat; please follow their directions. Sitting in walkways or stairways are not permitted. Please don’t leave any messes behind and take care of your trash.

 

Weapons and Props

  • All props must be checked at Cosplay Registration Table even if you are not participating in any cosplay related events.

  • No weapons are allowed in the convention or anywhere within the Daemen campus. If it's illegal outside campus, it's still illegal inside. In addition, lookalike weapons that have the possibility of injuring people (i.e. metal, wood, or hard plastic) are prohibited. 

  • Any prop that resembles a gun must have a painted orange tip and must have no moving or internal parts. Misuse of props that endangers other attendees will not be tolerated.

  • Fubuki Con staff and volunteers will have the final say on whether a lookalike weapon is acceptable. Items in violation of this policy will be confiscated by security and returned at the conclusion of the convention. Failure to follow Fubuki Con regulations will result in the ejection from the convention.

  • Fubuki Con will not provide any space to store your prop or any other items. Fubuki Con is not responsible for any costume prop confiscated by Daemen Security.

Photography and Video

Upon entrée to con Fubuki Con attendees grant permission to be photographed or recorded by authorized members of the Fubuki Con staff. Attendees also grant the Daemen College Anime Club permission to use such images or footage for promotional purposes.

 

Photo and video cameras are permitted at Fubuki Con. However, they may be prohibited from some events to accommodate guests' and/or participants' requirements. Signs will be posted for these rooms before entering the room. Be sure to ask permission before photographing someone and ask permission for poses.
